A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side, marked by a red ring, should not screw into a cut thread more than two turns by hand without extra force. If it does, the thread fails to meet the desired standards. Conversely, if it doesn't screw in at all, it's also considered defective. All parts and gauges are calibrated at a reference temperature of 20°C.
